Welcome to the homepage for the Document Imaging Project at the University of Oregon. This site will provide information and resources that pertain to the planning, design, analysis, implementation and current use of the system. As the system grows and matures, we hope to be able to provide more valuable information and resources through this website.
The Document Imaging solution employed at the University of Oregon utilizes a completely web-based document management system. This system is provided by Hershey Systems and is known as the Singularity EDU Suite.
The document management and retrieval system, called Singularity Archive is the backbone of the entire system, and provides the features and functionality needed from the departmental level to the enterprise level. Functionality includes, remote scanning, annotations, document retention, load balanced storage, multi-server scalability, and operating system and database independence.
